Edit engineering values with the right units
Understand battery, motor, load, sensor, and environment parameters before changing them.
Select a part to see its model parameters. Overrides belong to that project instance. Use finite numeric values and SI units unless the parameter explicitly indicates an exception. Changing a parameter stops and resets the current simulation so the next run uses one consistent configuration.
| Parameter family | Units and interpretation |
|---|---|
| mass | Kilograms. A mass override affects the part and its physical assembly. Loose parts are excluded from the mounted drive mass. |
| Battery capacityAh / cells | Ampere-hours and an integer cell count. The model converts Ah to charge using 3600 seconds/hour. |
| Battery internalResistance / maxCurrent | Ohms and amperes. Higher internal resistance increases load-dependent battery sag. |
| Motor resistance / inductance | Ohms and henries for the supported winding model. |
| Motor kt / ke | SI torque and back-EMF constants. The supported model requires equal numerical values to preserve its energy conversion. |
| gearRatio / efficiency / wheelRadius | Dimensionless reduction ratio, efficiency in (0,1], and metres. |
| idlePower / activePower | Watts. Nominal load approximations apply only through supported powered-device behavior. |
| Sensor rate / noise | Rate in hertz; noise follows that sensor's measured quantity. This is not a universal noise-density parameter. |
| Servo minAngle / maxAngle | Radians in model values; normalized commands map into this range. |
| Environment slope / payload / initial charge | Degrees, kilograms, and percent in the inspector. Stored initialSoc is a fraction from 0 to 1. |
Some catalog parameters describe geometry or a future specialist model. A value appearing in the inspector is not proof that it affects a simulation equation. Read the part's fidelity label and the supported model description.
