More understanding.
Before more hardware.
BotSims brings the moving parts of a robotics project into one place, so an idea can become a design you can inspect, program and test before you commit to a physical build.
A workbench for the whole idea
A robot is more than a 3D shape. Its battery must supply its loads. Its controller needs the right connections. Its code needs feedback. And its behavior needs to be tested when conditions change.
BotSims connects those conversations in a browser workspace. Assemble a robot, inspect named pins, write a controller and observe the supported power and motion models. Keep the project together as you revise it.
Start with curiosity
Explore an ESP32 emoji companion, a rover, a vacuum concept or a camera rig. Ready-made layouts make it easier to learn the workbench and ask useful questions.
Build with intent
Inspect dimensions and mass, organize subsystems, trace connections and save reusable modules. Carry your assumptions with the design.
Make behavior visible
Controller code, sensors, telemetry and repeatable experiments help explain why a supported robot responds as it does.
Choose your intelligence
Use an offline action fixture or connect a supported AI provider with your own key. Review a short action before applying it to the simulator.
Designed for different starting points
Students can follow guided projects and learn the relationship between power, wiring and control. Makers can compare layouts and package subsystems. Engineers can use the supported models to explore assumptions, controller logic and selected failure cases.
Every audience benefits from the same rule: inspect the model before trusting the result. A detailed-looking gear or arm does not establish physical fidelity, a manufacturer fit or a safe hardware design.
Honest models make a more useful tool
The strongest current reference is a differential-drive robot with coupled battery, motor, traction and selected sensor behavior. Arms, legs and other mechanisms provide useful assembly and kinematic previews, with limits described in the documentation.
BotSims does not claim to simulate every law, component or robot at every scale. It does not certify manufacturability, hardware safety, firmware compatibility or full articulated dynamics. The model coverage guide explains what is modeled and what needs other evidence.
Keep your project in your hands
Projects and module presets are stored in your browser, with explicit JSON import and export for backups. API keys entered in the dedicated AI field stay in the current tab's memory and are excluded from saved projects. Optional cloud inference still sends a reduced observation and key through the site's server to your selected provider.

A verified profile supports account settings and a private administrator support inbox. Account and support records are stored on the server; they do not upload or synchronize your browser-local robot projects. Google sign-in creates a free profile and verifies your identity.
